Prepare Yourself
and Your Motorcycle Before You Hit The Road
One of the ultimate freedoms of motorcycle riding is hitting
the open road for a long trip filled with excitement and adventure.
While many riders like to be spontaneous and play things by ear, it
is very important to plan your trip in advance and determine where you’d
like to go.

Remembering back I recall, a buddy and myself were sitting
under a bridge as a cold front overtook us on the highway riding home.
He had some Frogg Toggs in his saddle bags and I had nothing in the
way of a good rain suit. However, it did not matter, the rain came in
fast and hard. We were soaked by the time we pulled off the highway
and under the bridge. The bad thing is, we knew the front was coming
in, but failed to prepare adequately before riding home. Read On!!!

to prepare for the rain

This
article caught my attention after I had ordered a few patches online
and one of them happen to be a, "Don't Tread On Me", flag
patch. I saw a few bikers at the Dignity Vietnam Memorial Wall Motorcycle
Escort wearing this flag patch. Read On!!!

Connecticut
Marines Fight for 'Don't Tread on Me' Flag Display
By Diane Macedo
Published June 28, 2010
FOXNews.com
A group of retired Marines is asking Connecticut's attorney general
to allow the "Don't Tread on Me" Gadsden flag to fly over
the state Capitol on July 4 after Capitol Police refused the request
saying it doesn’t fall within the state’s flag flying parameters.
The group says the yellow banner, which sports a coiled rattlesnake
and its trademark motto, is the original flag of the U.S. Marine Corps
and clearly fits into the section of the policy which states that the
Connecticut State Capitol can fly “flags of recognized military
organizations of the U.S.A.”
